Dear sir,

One of my client asked me to calculate and verify buried pipe manually.
Referred relative codes are ASME B31.1 Nonmandatory Appendix VII and PVP2002-1271.

My questions are as follows;
1. Is that same result compare CAESAR II and Appendix VII?
Or First, calculate factors and apply factors to CAESAR II?
2. Can I make a result manually without using CAESAR II?
Suddenly Para. VII-6.5 mentions Computing calculation for Sc.
Is that means calculate manual and apply automatic?
3. If then, How can I input at CAESAR II?
What is procedure of analysis?
- Calculation Appendix VII
- Modelling as per Appendix VII such as element length
- Input factors ; spring rate, force, friction force
(at the restraint input box)
- Computer result check ; stress

I hope that you knows these matters,

If you can't make hand calculations that match Caesar, or v/v, at convincingly close accuracy, you should not be using Caesar.

HI LEECUP,

I AM CURIOUS DID YOU CROSS CHECK WITH YOUR HAND CALCULATION(ASME B31.1 Nonmandatory Appendix VII)WITH CAESAR 2 IS IT SAME.

THANKS.

Dear MEDIUMINCH.

I have done hand calculation already in accordance with ASME B31.1 Nonmandatory Appendix VII when I write a this thread.
But at that moment, I don't know how those results match.

Main question is
" Why Caesar II results are came up in para VII-6.5 Results of Analysis? "
