Hi,

I have a Contractor trying to submit Flowmatic Control Valves instead of Cla-Val Control Valves.

Has anyone had any experience with Flowmatic?

Rather than getting an anonymous answer on here, ask the Contractor to supply a listing of where the particular valve has been installed over a certain time period, say 3 years. If the Contractor can't supply basic information like that, you can stand your ground.

Good answer from bimr. Have the contractor give you a history of where they've installed.

We recently installed Flowmatic valves at a well head, but hasn't even been put into service yet. We'll see how well they turn out.

And the last step before you okay them is to call the installations and see how they're working. I had to do an alternate evaluation for blowers once and the list of installations were:
[ul]
[li]Plants where the blowers hadn't been installed yet.[/li]
[li]Plants in foreign counties with a time zone and language barrier.[/li]
[li]A few plants where the plant managers said they were pieces of crap.[/li]
[/ul]
We didn't allow them.
