Question on User exit in UGII_env_ug.dat

I asked a question about substrings and attributes in this thread561-477953 and the user Toost answered that i Could use the User_saveas in UGII_env_ug.dat.
I tried to describe a path to an update macro (which takes care of the update on the external references) but it seems not to work. the path was USER_SAVEAS=C:\Users\user\Desktop\nx_drawing_test\update.macro. The lokation is just for test purposes
What is the proper way to do it

Search for editing the menu script do add an After ou Befor action to existing button.

I am uncertain/doubt that you can use a "Unigraphics Macro" * for this purpose.
You might need use a more "true" programming language such as Snap, .VB or C or Python or ...

* The "macro" that one can record in NX is a pretty old function, it dates back to when NX was named Unigraphics, and I do not think it has been enhanced much since then either.
that said, the ability to create true programs using NX Macro is very-very limited.
I have zero programming knowledge and cannot help you further in this.
