"Air Hocky table" lifting

I have a very heavy entertainment cabinent that needs to be moved often accross a hardwood floor built over a cement slab. I would like a design to build an "upside down" air hocky table underneath the unit to move it when necessary.
I guess I need the # of holes, size of holes and air pressure needed to lift the unit enough to easily slide it accross the floor and air pressure needed.

Too much work to design an upside down hockey table! Put wax paper & blanket or carpet underneat & pull the blanket/carpet over the wax paper. Empty the entertainment cabinet first!

Anyway P=F/A

& Velocity P = (FPM/4005)^2 in inches wc

62.34 lb of water = 12" wc

Use minimum 2 x factor for the required pressure because of loss through orifice.

Be careful moving the air compressor!

Also look under "air pallets".
Depending on your location you should be able to rent one.
Be sure to check the air consumption and pressure.

I've seen some that work off a shop vacuum on the pressure side.

You know, for and HVAC&R discussion group, it seems like we get quite a few of these 'Air Hockey Table' situations. Some one should write a FAQ, or just find one of the old discussions. I remember one thread on air hockey tables got to around 30 posts.
