I already searched the keyword on Google. Some solution to this is have enough authority to run the problem and have enough disk space like 100Gb availabe.

What if the above 2 conditions met but the error keep happening.

Could someone give other solutions to this error.

The full text of error is listed below:

ERROR: UNABLE TO COMPLETE FILE WRITE. CHECK THAT SUFFICIENT DISK SPACE IS AVAILABLE. FILE IN USE AT FAILURE IS job-2.scn.

Which analysis are you running and How many DOF do you have?
100Gb couldn't be enought.......
Are you sure Abaqus is scratching on the disk where you have 100Gb free?

OK, thanks for reply.

I do Modal Dynamic analysis. with max 6 DOF. The free space 112 GB.

Usually, ODB file has just 2000KB then quit. Does ABAQUS predict the size of ODB or other relevant files in advance before it starts to solve.

the model is just for perliminary desing. so a simplified model also it is used for training because i am a newbie in this area.

Modal Analysis can generate scratch file of 300-400 Gb or more for big model. What means "max 6 DOF" ?

What OS are you using? What is your computer configuration?

The .dat file will give you an estimate of the job size and what storage capacity you'll need. There are more files generated than just the .odb files. Make sure you're writing to the correct disc for the scratch files, if you have more than one.
