"Instant" railroad bridge in WWII

I recently received a publication that shows a photo of what is likely a jiffy-quick railroad bridge/trestle, built by the US Army somewhere in Europe during WWII.

The two locomotives are American made for the Army--Whitcomb 65ton. The railroad cars aren't. It looks to me that the footings were poured very recently--forms appear to still surround one of them. The piers look as though they're assembled out of pre-fab sections, the near one out of two, the far one out of 5.

The track ties are held down to the bridge girders by long bolts that go to ties underneath.

Anyway. I find the structure fascinating. Thought I'd share.

Thanks for sharing the publication. Very interesting both the old destroyed pontoon bridge and the newer RR bridge. I'm always amazed at the speed that RR bridges can be built.
