I just went to rename a solidworks part from my filemanager. I right clicked the file, highlighted "solidworks" and it only showed the "Pack and Go" option. Is there a way to get it back without calling the IT monster to reinstall?(network licensing). And Yes I tried it again after full shutdown reboot.

Do you not see the rename option?

You can do a modify\repair on the install and change nothing and let it repair the install, that might bring it back.

Thanks Scott. I do not see the rename option:

Does solidworks itself work? If you have solidworks running are the options still missing? I seem to recall something hazy from a while back that this may have to do with a licensing issue.

Another possibility, is the file you are trying to rename a future version? Maybe something interesting going on with multiple versions of solidworks installed at the same time?

Solidworks is working fine. I just wanted to rename some files whilst keeping their references connected. And the files I'm trying are all ones I had recently modeled. We have no future version files so that's not an issue.
