Has anyone ever designed a "tilted" diaphragm plate moment connection where the beam coming into the the column is tilted (beam is perpendicular to the roof deck)so it matches the slope of the roof deck ( flange is tilted from left to right) and the top of the column is cut to match the slope of the roof as well? Similar to a cape plate column connection which is cut to match the slope of the roof. I have seen it skewed and sloped coming into the column but I haven't seen it where the beam is tilted coming into the column.

Yes, I have seen this. Pretty common really. Nothing very special if the angle is low. If the angle is steeper (which I've never had to deal with) then the weld may be difficult.

It is common in PEMB for pitched roofs.

The angle is really low so that's good - so I just design as normal? Any additional checks? Thanks for the help!
