Hello,

I have a PQR, welded with the SAW process that used electrode Lincolnweld L-56, AWS EH11K conforming to AWS A5.17

In lieu of an A-number, per QW-404.5 is it acceptable to put "All classifications" as indicated under Table QW-432 for SFA-5.17 or must I put "EH11K" for the A-number? For the PQR, would assume to put EH11K - but questioning the WPS.

Thank you,

The A-No. is based on a chemistry range. If the chemistry range of the deposited weld metal is A-1 you state on the PQR and WPS that the A No. is A-1.
