QW-451.1 says "four side bend tests may be substituted for the required two face-bend and two root-bend tests when the test coupon thickness is 10 mm and over".
My question is : What advantage Can I get if I use four side bend tests to replace required face and root bend tests?
Secondly, why Code (Table 451.1) always require side bend tests when coupon thickness is 19 mm and over?
Thirdly, what is the logic behind the cutting order of the bend and tensile test specimens as per QW-463.1(a) and QW-463.1(b)
