Hi Guys

Does anyone know why I get a "failed edge" in Solidworks Simulation Express and how to fix it?

Help says I can highlight the problem by clicking on the named edge "Edge 0".

When I click on it it does not hi-light the problem. I have checked for any bad sketches, floating bodies and tried exporting to Iges files which picks up the same problem...

Any help would be great!

This is a relatively simple part for a race car. One solid body.

Picture attached.

Thanks

The actual error message suggests to me that you are using an excessively large element size. Incidentally you should probably suppress all those fillets before meshing.

Thanks Greg.

I cut most of the model away and it still does comes up with the same message

SW bug I presume...

Yes, sometimes the min is 4mm which seem strange...

I don't know if it's the picture or not, but there seems to be a strange feature above the central hole, like a triangle at the edge of a flat area, and it's not a fillet.

ask on solidworks forums, they have a cosmos section there. also, paste the pic without the fillets.
