Hi all,
I am using LS-Dyna for the first time and am trying to simulate expansion of a thin cylinder through the application of a prescribed radial displacement.
Usually in Classic Ansys I would just rotate the nodal coordinate system into an appropriate cylindrical system and apply the required nodal displacement like this:
/prep7
et,1,42
cyl4,0,0,1
amesh,all
csys,1
nrotat,all
/sol
nsel,s,loc,x,1
d,all,UX,1
However, LS-DYNA does not support the NROTAT command. I have been attempting to figure this out using the EDLCS command but am having a bit of trouble. Any tips or insight would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Dave
