Radial Generated Dimensions

I was wondering if anyone else had figured out how to change the generated dimensions of diameters to show only a partial line.

Say I have a Shaft and I only want to show half of the section view through the shaft. Since the sketch is set up with diameters, the generated dimensions are diameters also. I was wondering how do I change the lines once tese dimensions are created or during the generation so that only a small portion of the line is shown, the the whole diameter line of the dimension for showing the full section.
