Hi all,

I have a radial o-ring seal (4mm Cross section, 13mm ID)and I am looking for some literature regarding the leading edge chamfer dimension to aid in o-ring assembly/insertion.

I have tried a couple of places but I cant seem to find any solid literature on the subject.

From what I have seen, a general rule of thumb gives 0-5° but doesnt specify chamfer depth.

Can someone please possibly shed some light on this or possibly point me in the right direction.

Thank you

Ryan

Ive actually been refferring to the Parker handbook but I cant find sufficent info regarding chamfer leading edges.

I must have skipped over it. Ill go back and get digging.

Thanks both

As I recall, page 11 or 12.

Ahh I have found it (Page 10) letter denoted Z indicates chamfer depth.
