While you can't see principles in the feature tree it is possible to see and understand concepts by working with them.
Not in this case. The key concept to successfully filleting this is invisible, hasn't changed since 2003, maybe earlier and has nothing to do with guide curves or new releases.

I am frustrated because I simply asked for a dumb solid so I could see what he was trying to do and have yet to get one exported from SWx. I am trying to help the guy, was the first one to jump on the problem and just can't seem to get any cooperation even from the OP in trying to help him.

If the OP can't put up a parasolid v19.1 or earlier maybe you could. I'll update the FAQ with it. Thank you.

I've done this type of geometry many times in my 15 years of using SWx. I keep up on current releases of SWx but choose to remain with 2009 for performance reasons.

I got the parasolid from your original file ArtL. The attached parasolid has the fillet in it that you needed using the technique in the FAQ called atomic bomb of fillets.

This model has serious lofting problems. I would address that in another thread. It will not round trip in IGES or STEP and would likely cause CFD, FEA or CAM problems.

The lofts from the nozzles to the neck would make a good user group presentation.

Kellnerp Thanx!! I will look at the parasolid as soon as I can. I'm sorry for all the problems I have caused you. I am a semi-retired tool maker by trade, and have used solidworks since 1998,but only part time, because tooling, jigs and fixtures is my main money maker. This is a part for a friend, I do design off and on. So my expertese in solidworks probibly is not up to par with a 100% daily user. The use of other programs is basically non-existant.So I have been confused about parasolids,Sat Ect... The lofts are really the only way I could get the "Y" to work. Any help would be apprecialed. Respectfully Art L.
