Railway bridge design books etc?

im currently been assigned to design a 60-m railway bridge for light rail train.

im new on this and i need info on the design considerations, design criteria, design loads/load combos, special detailings and anything about railway bridges anyone?

I'd start with AREMA. I think they only have Cooper E-80 loadings though for live load but they do have load combinations etc. If the bridge is not to be designed for E-80 then you'll need to get the load criteria from the client.

You will need specific light rail loading which should be available from a number of manufacturers. There are no standards yet available that I'm aware of for Light Rail vehicles. Above the light rail, you'll need also check for uniform track loading and any type of maintenance vehicles. Again, that information should be available from manufactureres.

AREMA should not be used as it is too heavy.
