Does anyone have any experience in determining the load bearing capacity or acceptable live loads for an existing raised access flooring system of the kind you often find in computer rooms. The system in question is made of 24" square removable floor panels (which are probably made of a wood material or some kind of fiber cement) supported on what look like aluminum 3/4" square legs which are supported by a grade slab below. The height of the floor measures 34" from the slab. I don't know the mfg and I have no specs or documentation about it. I have read that these floor systems come in different standard load ratings, and if this one is 'heavy' then the equipment the client wants to put on it is ok; otherwise, it's going to be a pretty expensive effort to find a way to support the equipment he wants to put in this room. Thanks.
