Does Ram consider Pd and PLp (ie col loads)
when it calcs wind up lift requirment in spread footings
Also, if it does, how do you design a combined footing in Ram
the options I have are spread cont.& mat

Assuming you have the default soil load combinations, then dead load is always considered along with wind (e.g. 0.6 D +- 1.0 W). Live load is also in some combos, but not others.
A continuous footing is the only kind of combined footing we have. it's fine for any number of column in one line.
When it comes to overturning stability in Ram Foundation design, the biggest pitfall is un-checking the option to “include Spread Footing self-weight when checking soil stresses”. The explanation is kind of involved, but in a nutshell, if there is an overturning conditions that has significant moment, but no net tension, then the footing self-weight can still be critical to resist overturning and needs to be included.
