I have an input PSD in a logarithmic scale that I am inputing the break points of into a custom PSD curve as a uniform base excitation. The units are g^2/Hz. I have these vibration schedules for transverse, longitudinal, and vertical vibrations. When I solve and display the Stesss_RMS plot, is the solver calculating the G_rms for the entire spectrum (that is, calculating the area under the curve and taking the suqare root for each vibration direction) and simulaing my system at these accelerations? All I have done is input the break points from the log log scale into the solidworks custom curve, this does not seem quite right, will I need to make adjustments to this data? Thanks for the help, I have been doing research but random vibration analysis is new to me.
