Raster Images

Hello all

I use aerial photos in my drawings. Recently, when printing these drawings, the aerial photo will have evenly spaced white lines running vertical through the photo. Does anyone know what is going on? How to fix it? It appears some of the pixels are skipped and consequently nothing is printed. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just as a test, try using different print drivers for the same printer within ACAD. See if anything changes.

Hello again,

I'm not sure what caused the problem, but I detached the image then reinserted it. It prints fine know. I think it may have to do with the memory required to process the image. When I was having the problem, the image was processed 16 times before it actually started to print. After reinserting the image, it was only processed 6 time. I should mention that I originally used the image insert under the map menu, (I have Autodesk Map 5). I used the insert raster image when reinserting. I guess there could be a problem there as well. Who knows, I,m going to add memory to my computer and run somes tests to see if it happens again.

Occasionally I get the same problem on large aerial plots. My cad guys and I have deduced that it is a memory problem. We've also found that rotating the drawing eliminates the problem most of the time (don't ask why).
