Hi All,
I've completed a response spectra analysis using Femap with NX Nastran and now I'm trying to get the reaction loads at the constraints. I've been told the only way to do this is to create an additional analysis using an enforced displacement from the output of the RSA. When I do this, the displacements match perfectly, but the stresses are nowhere close. I've done several simple models and the stresses are always off.
Also, in order to avoid UFM 4402, I have to arbitrarily remove a node from the enforced displacement load and the constraint. The location of the node effects the results. Will the Enforced displacement from RSA work? Has anyone ever had issues with matching stresses when using enforced displacement from output of a preceding analysis? It seems to me that if the displacements are the same, then the stresses should be the same.
I appreciate any help!
