I am working in Master Model in NX7.5
I replaced the solid model in a drawing file with a differnt (but similar) model.
When trying to reassociate a circular centerline I get the error:
Remove retained associativity handles and select new object to repair centerline.
What is a "retained associativity handle"?

It's the 'markers' (colored spheres/squares) showing where the original points on the 'circle' were located. Just select any one of them, press MB3 and pick the 'Remove All Retained' option. Now you can immediately select the new points on the 'circle' to recreate the Circular Centerline.
