Hey All,
I am curious as to everyone is sizing there pulsation bottles. To my understanding API 618 is for Medium to High Horsepower gas compressor while ISO 13631(API 11P) is for Low to Medium Horsepower gas compressors.
From what I can tell, no one actually follows the calculations of either code to calculate their pulsation dampeners when preforming sizing on most of there gas compression equipment. It seems to be a hybrid between the two codes or a percentage of. Just curious to see what everyone else seems to be doing to analyze pulsation dampeners.
Side Question;
What is the true definition of Low, Medium, and High Horsepower? 0-800hp, 800-1600hp, 1600hp & up ???
Always bugs me seeing blanket statements in regards to the range of horsepower.
Cheers,
Pulsater
