Recommendation for "flap" valve 1

Does anyone have a recommendation for a 12" PVC check (flap) valve to use in a storm water gravity-flow application. I will only have about 2' of head available to operate it.

I have used a Tideflex valve successfully in a gravity storm drain with less head. They are not cheap but they do their job well and no long term maintenance headaches that I know of. The valve I used was mounted on the end of the pipe in my application. I believe Tideflex (

also manufactures an inline valve, too. Mechanical flapper/tidegate valves are unreliable over time. Good luck!

For SylP47, we are looking to install a rubber duckbill type check valve in a similar low head situation that drains to a beach. Do you know how these perform when buried in sand?
