Greeting-
I work as a mech-e in Semicon industry and have a question on what type of drawing this should be.
Exclusively all our drawings are either, mechanical, electrical and some facilities. Our company purchasers deal with machine & sheet metal shops and cable houses for electrical. Recently I was tasked with designing a small HVAC module for our instrument, not like the ones suspended from the ceiling. Finished the prototype design, created a set of drawings and sent them out to a sheet metal shop, response back was no quote, they don't HVAC work. Found a local HVAC company, no issues with quoting and fab'ing parts. My question is, I'm releasing the design package w/drawing, and somehow I need to flag them for HVAC fabrication and NOT sheet metal any suggestions? In addition, our purchasing department doesn't review the prints or send them out for bid; they mindlessly send drawings for convenience just to get this off their plate.

I'd call them HVAC drawings. That should be enough of a difference to show up.as a blip on purchasing's radar
