Hello every body,
i have to prepare a calculation book for rectangular storage tank with following dimension (L * W *H) = 2500 * 2500 * 1500
Calculations for wall and bottom thickness and stiffeners size is base on this book : "Design of process equipment" ,By:Mahajan.
I have to offer calculation for the bottom to shell joint. i didn't have find any rules for it in ASME Section VIII. I will appreciate any help.
I am also involved in seismic design evaluation a the tank. in order to obtain base shear, first mode natural period of vibration should be calculated first. i will be appreciated if any one could suggest a procedure for finding natural frequency.
