Red dot on icons 1

What does the red dot on the icons indicate?

Those are features/dialogs that have changed when a new version of NX is installed. Somewhere there's a setting to turn that off but I can't seem to find it again. I'm sure someone else will know.

Thanks. I vaguely suspected that it might be that, not knowing was driving me crazy.

It's turned off in the Discovery Centre, when it's in the What's New mode.
