Reduce MLT retention period

Hi Sir

As per practice, we will carry out maintained load test to verify the pile capacity before carrying out the full string on the working pile. During the maintained load test, the retention load for 200% is 24 hours.

May I know, what is the reason to maintain the 200% load for 24 hours?
Could we make this shorter?

whats "carrying out the full string on the working pile" mean?

There are many ways to test a pile maintained load, maintained displacement etc. I thought the longest was 12hrs tbh, didnt think it was 24hrs.
