Reducing head loss across the FCV in EPANET

Hi

I have modeled a FCV in EPANET to control the flow at a desired value but I am receiving a head loss of 18 meters after FCV.

Can anyone help me in reducing this pressure drop/ head loss across the FCV? I am working in EPANET.

Thanks in advance.

A FCV is a flow control valve, it does not care about the pressure, the pressure loss across the valve will be what needs to happen to get the flow requested.
The program looks at each side of the valve and considereds that node a 'demand' (by another name) on the upstream side of the valve and a 'source' on the downstream side of the valve.
