Reduction Factors for Oedometer Settlement

Im trying to find a reference to this subject. Can any one point me in the right direction please.

Search for Bjerrum's correction factor in nearly any graduate level text. See Tomlinson's Foundation Design and Construction, 6th Edition, equation 2.45 and subsequent table. Many texts put the factors in a graph.

I'm fond of his texts. I first got ahold of his 3rd edition in 1976 and found that his explanations and presenation mixed the right 'experience' with the computational methods.
