I'm using Microstation V8.
Here's the deal:
When attaching a reference file all of the elements come in as white. It's not level symbology. Has anyone had this problem before?

Thanks,
ryan

I would check your color table. Your reference file may be using a different color table than the design file. You probly already checked this, but could have missed it.

I did check the color tables, and they are all set the same as the other workstations. It appears to be a user setting or computer setting since its only happening on this one workstation. But I can't find anything anywhere that would affect this. I've checked the Workspace>Preferences>References and selected 'Use color table' which is set on the other machines as well.

Thanks for your help,
ryan

I don't why but I have a similiar situtation where I was re-browsing a file and it came in white. I just turned it off, then back on and the colors were correct. It could be a highlight reference file toggle switch.

No its not the highlight reference setting either.
This is a true stumper!

Well I just updated Microstation to a newer version and the problem went away. I'm wondering if this file was created in the newer version and the when in the older version of Microstation it created these problems?

Either way, it seems to have dissappeared for now.

Thanks all for your help

I am having a similar issue. Attached references are showing up white. When I select an object within a reference, then ust the info button to list the object properties, they show up correctly yet on the screen the objects display only as white and also without any weight, (0 weight only). also, when I open with a newer version, I have the same problems. However, some references show up with the correct color and weight, but when i try to copy objects out of the reference into the current drawing, the objects go back to white/weight 0, but still list as the correct color and weight.

any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Ryan
