I am really taken by the "Safe-T" design embellished fire extinguishers, but not the price. There are no reviews online that I can find to give me insight into what the product is like, not that I'd be in a position to buy one anyway.. so I would like to make one.

Now, I know these forums, so can we just skip past all the cautionary advice please, I would just like to know the best way to achieve a uniform reflective finish as this would be easier to achieve over a patterned design.

I saw a video on applying a copper finish to a metallic car hub surface, I would like something accessible like this if possible:

Many thanks!

"reflective finish" .

Like, take a standard red painted fire extinguisher and make it look like it is bright chrome or copper plated? Not a matte finish?

Wrap it with vinyl. Can be printed with whatever pattern or image you want, in thousands of base stock colors and many variations of foil/metallic/gloss/pearl/matte finishes.

Not that you asked... but I take issue with this concept pretty strongly.

Fire extinguishers are bright red the world over for a reason- so that anyone from any relatively industrialized nation can, in an emergency and in spite of a large adrenaline hit, identify what is and is not a fire extinguisher and what can be used to put out the very dangerous fire in front of them.

Painting a fire extinguisher is one way to reduce its usefulness and safety. No fire extinguisher I own will ever be modified to 'look better'. That's not the point.
