Dear All,
I have a simple question about boundary mesh og geometry, I have STL surface mesh data and after converting it to Solid mesh data and also selected second order accuracy still getting such kind of information boundary mesh element is linear as follows:

36084 elements have been generated on part: Sundayexport011012023
Info: Boundary meshes are always linear.

I was wondering how to select or change boundary mesh to nonlinear or quadratic in Abaqus ?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards
Adil

Use the "3D Mesh to Geometry" plugin on the imported STL and then apply Virtual Topology: Combine Faces. That's the best way to work with imported STL files in Abaqus. Then you will be able to mesh them normally.
