Relationship to object attributes in a note

Hi everyone,
As per my company request, I was asked to simplify and make the work a little bit more automated on our drawings by making some custom symbols with all annotation preferences already preset so that we just have to place them and edit them when necessary. One example of custom symbols is what our company called "Component Identification". The basic idea behind this is to create a symbol with the identification symbol of the component and other additional information such as name, material, process specification, quantity needed, etc. I did what they requested, and I even found out that we could have links to object attributes within a note (yes, I'm still an entry to intermediate-level NX user). Now here's where my concern comes from. I noticed the random number that appears in the links of my object attributes. I was wondering if it's possible to have the note automatically retrieve information from my object attributes because right now, I'm doing everything manually. I can't see how the number is related to the object.. Therefore, I have to do this for every of my components on my drawings, that is edit the note and add the relationship to the object attributes by selecting the object and etc. I might just as well forget about this shortcut, and type everything out by hand..

Any ideas anyone?

Have you looked at NX's "parts list"?
By default it will include a component callout number, the part name, and quantity in the assembly. If you have custom attributes defined, these can be added to the list as well. You can modify the parts list format and add attributes as desired then save it as a template to use on other assemblies with a simple drag & drop.

I thought of the parts list idea; I might be able to modify the format of the parts list in that it works horizontally and not vertically, and it only retrieves information for the component ONLY.
But then, a parts list is made for an assembly. I want to identify each component on my drawings instead..

Also look at the 'Tabular Note' as you can relate the 'cells' to attributes and such.

I'm trying out the tabular note right now. I was wondering if it's possible to save the tabular note as a template and have it automatically retrieve attributes from each of my components separately?

Now that it comes to my mind, can a journal do the job?
Can I just create my custom symbol, relate the note with my object attributes and make a journal that prompts me to select which object to choose the attributes from?
