I downloaded the free version of the Cad program and tried to use the line command on a simple 2D drawing. The software would not let me switch to the Relative tracking. All it would do is Absolute tracking which is not helpful for me when doing plans. I want to just move the mouse and see how far it has gone since the last point I set. Also the angle function is not as simple as the Autodesk 2006 version although one of your members recommended a solution that worked to get the program to plot a line at a designated angle: @(line length)<(line angle).

You can set relative dimensions by going to Tools/Options/Drawing Settings/Behavior.
Make sure the box is checked.

You can track the progress of your mouse by the coordinate system readout located at bottom middle of your screen.

You can set all kinds of angle commands by going to Tools/Options/User Preferences/Drafting Options/Display/Polar Guides

Hope that helps
