Pressure, temperature, other components, CO2 concentration? What do you mean by completely, 1 ppm, 1 ppb?

Pretty hard to answer without some details.

We used a caustic wash to remove the CO2 out of our cracked gas before the chilling train but if you have substantial amounts of CO2, that can get expensive in terms of caustic consumption.

In addition to TD2K, who is right, you also need to know the composition of the gas you are scrubbing, other wise you might have undesireable reactions or remove the material in the gas you are scrubbing the CO2 from.

If this is a lab system, you can get a CO2 scrubber filter from your local lab equipment vendor. Be sure to let them know as much as you can about your effluent gas so you don't get surprises.

Also, it could be expensive to treat spent caustic.

Hi
Thank you all for your suggestions. Will be using some specially treated caustic soda.

YOU NEED TO ABSORBTON COULMN FOR ABSORBING CO2
AND SOLVENT FOR THIS WORK IS DEA

activated carbon in combination with alumina at high pressure can also be used as adsorbant for this purpose. but the question is: is this cost justified?
