Hi,
when I create an extrusion, that is a body, I can change the color of the body, from gray to blue using 'Edit object display' command.
I can do the same for faces.
But how can I remove color faces customization, so they return to the body color ?
I know that I can inherit from other faces, but doing this procedure I will not be able to select the body and change the color without enable 'Applay to all faces' setting.
In other words, How can remove any color faces customization ?
The same question in assembly.
Some colleagues has changed color to components with the solid body filter enabled and I'm not able to reset the color to the component color.

Thank you...

Select the BODY, press MB3, select Edit Display..., select the 'Inherit' button and select one of the faces which is already the color that you want the entire body to be, hit OK, in the 'Settings' section of the 'Edit Object Display' dialog toggle ON the 'Apply to All Faces of Selected Body' option and then hit OK. You should be good to go.

Note that you have to be careful as the next time you open the 'Edit Object Display' dialog that 'Apply to All Faces of Selected Body' option will still be toggled ON so you may want to toggle it OFF before you proceed with another edit.

John,
sorry for the delay, but I'm testing NX 8 and NX 8.5 for the future switch in our company.
I've seen that NX 7 has a bug respect to NX 8, for this I open this topic.
If I was using NX 8, this strange behavior I didn't found.

Thank you...

In an assembly if you MB3 on a part and select properties - uncheck the "Specific Component Color". This will remove any color assigned to the component in the assembly level.

Why do you have to be a nonconformist like everybody else?
