rename parts of an assembly - catia v5

Hello all,

I have the following situation:
I have an assembly, with many parts, some of them by many times, and all are diferent part names.
The repiting part to have the same name and the others...diferent but in order.
I would like to rename all parts cronogically, then when I make bill of material to be all ok.

Hi,
You can make a copy of your part nos but the instance name would be different for different instances.No two part nos in CATIA can have same part no & instance no.
