Can anyone suggest a good place to start when rendering clear plastic? I need to generate a very realistic image of a product, but everything I try in Photoworks looks very bad. For the material, do I use Polycarbonate, Polypropylene, Glass? I need a white background, but don't know if I can start with some other scene and change it. Also, what about lighting? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Look at using Photoview 360 and go to luxology.com to download glass Environments and materials, might help with your Clear plastic problem.

Forgot to clarify, it appears perfect in Photoworks and Photoview as well.

If you don't find that good enough and decide to go one step further, you may want to look at "Blender" ( especially if your not disgusted to use open source applications (free software)

I've had good luck using Clear Thick Glass in PV360 as a stand-in for clear plastics.

On the portfolio page image 8 was created using clear glass. This was in PhotoWorks with my own custom environment set up.

Image 24 was colored glass and created in PV360 2009 with one of the default environments.

Fine. I'll ask the question: what do you mean when you say it looks bad? Can you post a bad pic? It could just be your lighting or it could be something else. We're all just guessing otherwise.
