Request for Sharing Maintenance Experience of a Similar Type of Pump

Hello, I am currently performing maintenance on the pump shown in the attached drawing. I would appreciate any experience or advice you could share.
The middle spherical bearing contains a spring, and the drawing indicates that the "A" point should be measured.
However, the manual does not mention whether the "A" point should be measured with the spring compressed or in an uncompressed state.
I would appreciate any experience or advice you may have from maintaining a similar type of pump regarding this matter.

Hi,
The best way to get an answer is to contact the manufacturer/ vendor.
You may also save money and time to ask them to fix the problem if you are not comfortable with the inhouse repair.
Good luck.

The A dimension would be measured with the springs removed or fully compressed. Cutting the nose of the cover to less than A allows the springs to be loaded, but not bottomed out.

A is the measured when the spring is compressed. you can imagine what will happen if A in non compress state.
