Required AISI 4140 Standard, Clarify ASTM A434 is equivalent to AISI 4140 or not

Dear All,
Good Day,
Please provide AISI 4140 Standard for my reference.

Further to above, we received Pump from vendor, in that the shaft material used is ASTM 434 Class BB, but our data sheet mentioned as AISI 4140. Inorder to clear the material inspection, i need to clarify the client as both are equivalent.

Did you list any chemistry requirement?
A UNS number?
ANSI 4140 is not a specification, it is just a name.

Thanks for your kind response,

As per Data sheet by vendor shaft material AISI4140,nothing more they mentioned. when I searched in Google i found teh below,but equivalent ASTM standard is ASTM A29, but material used by vendor for shaft is ASTM A434 Class BB.
