The truss looks too shallow. I would start by making a pin at the crown and at the bottom of each column. That makes it a 3 hinged arch which is statically determinate. You can solve it quickly and get a rough idea of the magnitude of the axial forces and moments occurring at various points.

You may decide to give the truss and possibly the columns a tapered shape, similar to many pre-engineered buildings.

When difficulties accumulate, the student simply loses interest, without which even the most brilliant teacher will not be able to convey knowledge to the proper extent. For example, I cannot write my essay. Unfortunately, the general school curriculum is designed for the average student and does not take into account these nuances. Let's think about how we can subtly, without pressure, increase motivation to study.

Off topic! Quit making excuses! You can write your essay, and you can do it without cheating. Address the OP's question or else start your own thread.

PEinc,

Okay, I missed that. That makes him even less worthy to be contributing to this thread in my humble opinion. It means he is not only in favour of cheating, he is promoting it and presumably profiting by it.

Merry Christmas to all.

I also missed the point/link, needs a red flag.

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)
