I am working with 480V switchracks installed in Non-Classified areas. However, when the racks were bought, it was not clearly known that they would be located in Non-Classified areas, so they were designed and manufactured as Nema 7, Explosionproof, for location in Class 1, Division 2 hazardous locations. As part of the design, line side & load side conduit seals were installed, and to be poured by construction team at jobsite.

I can't find any article in the code that requires the seals to be poured now that they are in Non-Classified areas. Am I missing something, or is there any code that requires all seals to be poured once they are installed?

Thanks.

Generally, if you decide to do something that isn't required by code, but for which there are code requirement (for instance, to pick something else, you put in fire sprinklers in a structure not required by code to have fire sprinklers) then you have do it per all of the applicable code requirements. In your case, you don't have to have the seals, and could even remove them; but since they are there they would be required to be installed per code, which typically includes compliance with all installation instructions, which will include installation of the sealing material.
