Are there certain standards that cable must meet to be placed on an off shore oil rig in Europe
ie. IEC 60092-3 Design Guidlines - Marine Shipboard Cable
IEC 60332-3/A - Flame Retardance
IEC 60331 - Fire Resistance
IEC 60754-1,2 - Halogen Free
IEC 61034-1,2 - Smoke Density
or is this up to the oil rig company?
The company I work for (in Canada) has a possible contract with a European Off-Shore oil rig. Our coaxial cable in the system has to have a maximum temp rating of at least 165°C, but this is impossible to do with also meeting IEC 60754 - zero halogen content. Any suggestions?
Thanks
