I am wondering if someone could explain what the Motor residual torque means? I need a simple explanation.

Residual torque for disconnect between gears, means that the motor should be stopped statically at X Nm to be able to disconnect? Or maby I understand wrong.

I am not sure I understand your question and I assume the motor you are referring to is a stepper motor.

The residual torque of the motor to put it in simple terms is the torque you would have to exert on the rotor shaft to get it to turn without the motor windings being energised.
