retained austenite VS ferrite how do you recognize them under microscope 2

Hello All

I have sample with white phase on it how do I know whether it is retained austenite or ferrite when I put it under microscope?

Specify the alloy, thermal conditions, etchant used to have an idea. Yet as metengr states, microhardness testing can be one of the simplest test.
