RETAINING WALL ON RIVERSIDE

Hello. I've been reading and learning here since last year, and i have a question now that i can't find on any forums...

How do i pour concrete on my retaining wall excavation when the river water will obviously flow into it? somebody said to me that i can use sheet piles and pumps to dewater the excavation... if so, how can i estimate those?

If you are working within a river you will be forming a mini cofferdam.

Read the Accerlor Mittal Handbook. It was unbelievable amounts of practical information

depending on your river, riverbed/foundation conditions there are also simple cofferdams made of pvc, basically an L-shaped plastic that holds the water back while you pump out

you could also use sheetpiles as your retaining structure

Is there a specific reason a retaining wall would be more desirable than a sheet pile wall? Could you put earth anchors in the upland?
