Retangular tangential nozzle on Section VIII Vessel

Can anyone tell me how to calculate both the required reinforcement for a rectangular tangential opening in a cylindrical Section VIII vessel and the way to calculate the nozzle stresses?

You're pretty much in U-2(g) territory here (assuming that you're talking about a Div. 1 vessel). I would recommend ASME Section VIII, Division 2, Appendix 4.
