Greetings:

I have been assigned to reverse engineer a part from white light scanning, which that data is input into a program called VXElements. From there, I take it and import the data into a GO!Model 64 program. From here, I need to take that data and turn it into model. Some of the things that will need to happen is turn the mesh data into solid model. Can anyone give me a shove on steps to take to get going?

Thanks in advance,

Brent

What is your target program to work with the model? Recent versions of SolidWorks have ScanTo3D baked in to work directly with meshes, which is what I use on a scan.

vlachen - we have an old program called Go!Model 64 that I have not used yet, and need to learn how to make model out of mesh .ctl file. We do have NX9 and NX11 that I'm looking into now to see if I can do it with that program as well. Just need a shove on a few commands to get started. Thank you for your reply.

Our NX software does not have the reverse engineering package available.

BTE - I'm unfamiliar with both NX and Go!Model 64, so my helping ability hits a hard stop.
