Reverse Power relay

I need to replace an old WH (now ABB) Reverse power relay type CW model 289B988A17 with a more sensitive one.
This one is on a steam turbine and has a pick up VA of 20W which is the relays minimum setting.
VT 4200:120 CT 2000:5
20 W is equivelant to about 485 kW motoring.
This is a single relay for a balanced system.

Per IEEE/ANSI 242 "Generator Protection" I would like to have a replacement relay with a pick up of about 2.5 W equivelant to about 60 kW motoring power.(20% motor power)
This would appear to protect 300 kW, 3% of rated prime mover.

There is no budget for a comprehensive digital generator relay.

Q1 Where can I find a sufficiently sensitive relay replacement?

Q2 Is there a direct replacement that will fit inot the FT-11 case?

Any thoughts?

The Basler BE1-32R is an analog solid-state relay. Case size is close to yours, I think, but maybe not identical.

In the 120V input configuration, it can be set down as low as 0.5 watts secondary, single phase.

Includes time delay, either definite time or inverse time (as extra cost options.

Available in single-phase or 3-phase versions.

I show a list price of about US$1100 with definite time delay and power supply failure alarm.

It's been a long time since I've actually seen or used one, but I don't recall ever hearing of any problems. It's been around quite a while.

Westinghouse used to specify a CRN-1 relay for a more sensitive application than a CW could handle. Min pickup is listed as 0.023A. I believe it will fit into the FT-21 case only. I will check further and respond back.

Yes, the previous info I posted seems to be correct. This should be the link to the PDF file for the manual for the CRN-1.
